Policy All education materials used by the local agency must be listed on the State Approved Education Materials List. Local agency created materials must be approved by the State WIC Office (SWO) prior to use.

Purpose To ensure consistency in nutrition messaging with resources offered and tools used. Procedures I. Maintain a list of district materials approved for use from the State Approved Education Materials list.

II. Establish a process for replenishing approved materials at the clinic level.

III. Submit local agency created materials to the State Nutrition Unit for review and approval.

Definitions/Supporting Information Education Materials - Materials that are used to reinforce education provided to Georgia WIC participants related to nutrition, physical activity, program utilization, materials that are used to provide program outreach, and materials that are used to promote and support breastfeeding.
