ESA SNAP Policy Manual 76 6.7 The Work Number The Work Number is a third-party payroll source provided by Equifax to help verify employment and income information for SNAP applicants. The Work Number must be checked for each adult household member at initial application and at recertification, regardless of what the applicant or recipient did or did not report as earned income on their application or at recertification.
