ESA SNAP Policy Manual 276 Asset Type TANF, GC, RCA SNAP ABD Medicaid and IDA Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Excluded  Federal EITC is excluded for month of receipt and following month for the individual and their spouse.  Federal, State or local EITC received by any household member is excluded for only 12 months if they participated in SNAP at the time it was received and the household participates in SNAP continuously for that 12-month period. Excluded Essential for self-support of a blind or disabled individual N/A ABD (excluding SSI recipients) and QMB: Exclude assets specified in a Department- approved self-support plan as essential for self-support. Exclude a home the person formerly lived in if they intend to return and the absence is due to any of the following:  Vocational rehabilitation training  Inability to live at home due to a verified health condition  Status as migrant farmworker with the intent to return to the home  Employment, training for future employment  Illness  Casualty (such as fire) or natural disaster Exclude a home the person formerly lived in if the absence is due to care in a hospital or long-term care facility and the person intends to return to the home. Exclude a home an individual formerly lived in if they are temporarily absent. Return
