ESA SNAP Policy Manual 239  The ESAP household requests an interview. 20.1.7 Simplified ESAP Verification Procedures ESAP eligibility for initial application and recertification will be determined based on information on the application, information obtained during the interview and any information from state and federal computer matches. To determine eligibility, the household will not have to verify any additional information, unless questionable. If information regarding noncitizen status is needed, the household must provide this verification. Any information that is not verified through state and federal computer matches (State Data Exchange, BENDEX, IEVS, etc.), such as shelter, medical or child support expenses, may also be considered questionable and require additional verification by the household.
