Two of the FY 2025 monthly breastfeeding coordinators meetings will include discussions of the LAP initiation strategy and implementation best practices from local agencies.

The Breastfeeding Unit will conduct 1-2 enhanced breastfeeding reviews at local agencies. (One review will include agency with peer program.) See 2.6.

2.6 Define and develop a breastfeeding duration report and target.

The Epi and Breastfeeding Units will work to develop a new breastfeeding duration report.

Convene at least 2 meetings prior to the end of FY 2024 to finalize reporting methodology and determine baseline.

Begin internal reporting of breastfeeding duration at 6 months using new methodology in FY 2025. Prepare to finalize target for FY 2026 LAP.

Implementation of BF/FU appointments were continued as a FY 2025 LAP strategy for breastfeeding duration.
