Local agency management were tasked with taking back their identified strategies for improvement to discuss with all staff and develop a plan for the Local Agency Showcase, which will occur at the statewide WIC 50th Anniversary Event in Sept 2024. The Local Agency Showcase will be an opportunity for local agencies to highlight something positive about their region and the work they do for WIC. 1.4 Update DPH and WIC COOP to include recommended USDA components and ensure alignment. • Work with DPH’s Public Health Preparedness and Local Health Section to review existing COOP and identify gaps. • Update as appropriate. The State WIC Director, State Nutrition Coordinator, and FRVM Supervisor met with DPH Public Health Preparedness to review the plan for updating DPH’s COOP and incorporating WIC as an essential function within the agency. A Business Process Analysis has been drafted, with a flow chart and submitted for review. This will continue into the next fiscal year, as the DPH COOP is still in process. A draft version is included in this submission. The State Agency Internal Operating Procedures Plan for State WIC staff has been drafted to include additional details and ensure compliance with new AFBA requirements. This document is also included with this submission.
