WIC 100-10 SECTION: Administration

SUBJECT: Smoking Policy

Federal Regulations: §246.6 (b)(4) POLICY Each local agency shall have an announced public policy against smoking in any area where WIC program functions are performed. This includes satellite sites where WIC services are provided on a part-time basis. These sites must prohibit smoking during the times WIC is operating. The Connecticut WIC program will not allocate any administrative monies to local agencies if smoking is allowed within the space used to perform program functions.
