NON-EDUCATION, NON-WORK COMPONENT: SUPERVISED JOB SEARCH Provide a summary of the State guidelines implementing supervised job search. EF Clients enrolled in SJS receive job search guidance and case management from trained EF PO program workers. State-approved locations in Colorado are: workforce centers, county offices, public libraries, county human services departments, TPP offices, and client residences (when equipped with the technology necessary to participate in the component). All State-approved locations must have computers, internet, or Wi-fi available to the client. An on-site phone and printer are preferred, but not required, to be at a State-approved location. Clients are allowed to participate in SJS at state-approved locations. They are also required to meet with an EF PO once a month, with a level of effort of at least 12 hours a month. Monthly meetings can be conducted virtually or in person. The goal of a monthly meeting is for the EF PO worker to provide feedback to the client on job search efforts and offer supportive payments that aid the client in obtaining sustainable employment. EF PO workers will ensure that SJS activities directly increase clients' employment opportunities by maintaining a working knowledge of the local labor market and understanding which job search tools are required for certain occupations (resume, application, cover letter, etc.). Trained EF PO workers will directly supervise SJS through: Video conferencing, over-the-phone meetings, regular (at least monthly) check-ins through email, text messages, and other forms of technology that are easily accessible to a client. In-person meetings at a State-approved location and messaging apps where trained EF PO workers can provide real-time feedback and assistance to clients may also be utilized. Monthly SJS activities and meetings will be documented in CBMS for each client, including the amount of time the client spent in the activity or meeting. Describe the direct path to employment. EF POs ensure SJS leads directly to employment by enrolling only job-ready clients who have been assessed during EF orientation. These clients have the basic skills, availability, and stability needed to actively seek and secure work. Once enrolled, clients receive job search guidance and case management from trained EF PO team members, who have current knowledge of the local labor market. EF POs help clients target real job opportunities by supporting tailored applications, resumes, and job search strategies specific to in-demand occupations in the community. Clients complete at least 12 hours of job search per month and meet monthly with their EF PO for feedback and support, including help with employment barriers. Meetings can be virtual or in person and are used to keep job search efforts focused and effective. SJS is supervised through regular check-ins, virtual communication, and meetings at State-approved locations with internet and computer access. All activities are tracked in CBMS. This structure ensures a clear, direct path from job search to employment. 58
