Describe the direct path to employment. SJS activities have a direct link to increasing the employment opportunities of individuals engaged in the activity. E&T providers enroll participants into SJS if they are ready to enter the workforce. If, upon assessment/ reassessment, the participant is not ready to obtain or maintain employment, they will be placed into another component or referred to other services. Include the skills, knowledge, or experience necessary for participation in the component. For example, literacy or numeracy levels, recent labor market attachment, computer literacy, etc. The CDSS-specific criteria for participation in SJS include but are not limited to recent work history, individual interest in programs offered, access to technology (if programs are virtual), and participant reimbursement needs.
