If a health care facility is sold, leased, discontinued, or moved to a new location during the department’s review of an application for a certificate of need, or before completion of an activity for which a certificate of need has been issued, the applicant shall notify the department in writing within 20 working days after the sale, lease, discontinuance, or move, and shall include complete information regarding the action that has occurred. Notification under this section does not require submittal of a new certificate of need application. (a) A certificate of need may not be modified after a proposed activity has been completed or after the completion date on the most current certificate of need has passed.
