7 AAC 26.860. Approved curriculum. The approved curriculum for a license as a paramedic is a curriculum approved by the department that meets or exceeds applicable objectives set out in the United States Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards, 2021, adopted by reference in 7 AAC 26.050(l)(A). Upon documentation that an applicant has successfully completed the requirements of this chapter, the department will issue the applicant a license to practice as a paramedic. A license expires biennially on a date set by the department. A license must be renewed under 7 AAC 26.870.
