(4) in order to ensure a comprehensive emergency medical services system, the department will, in its discretion, extend the certificate of an EMD for a period of not more than 60 days beyond the date of the lapse of certification. To obtain recertification, an EMD must, not more than 90 days before or six months after expiration of the EMD’s certification,

(1) apply for recertification to the department;

(2) provide evidence of a valid CPR credential;

(3) provide written approval from the medical director for the emergency medical dispatcher services;

(4) repealed 8/16/2002; and

(5) pay a non-refundable application fee of $10 to the department.
