PROVIDER DETERMINATIONS In accordance with 7 CFR 273.7(c)(18) a State agency must ensure that E&T providers are informed of their authority and responsibility to determine if an individual is ill-suited for a particular E&T component. Describe the process used by E&T providers to communicate provider determinations to the State agency. When a provider determines that a participant is not suitable for their program, they must communicate this decision to the E&T program team within 10 days. This is done using the Provider Determination and Notification form, which is sent through Direct Secure Messaging (DSM) [encrypted email]. Describe how the State agency notifies clients of a provider determination. Providers are required to notify the State within 10 days of determining a participant's suitability. Subsequently, the State sends a referral notice to the client within 10 days using the E016-E&T Referral form.
